According to government data, thousands of child abuse cases are reported each year, with girls being disproportionately affected. Alongside this, poverty continues to strip them of their basic rights many grow up in unsafe environments, lacking proper care, protection, and emotional support during their most vulnerable years.

About the Ground Partner:

Nirvanavan Foundation, based in Alwar, Rajasthan, is a grassroots initiative dedicated to uplifting young girls from some of the most marginalized communities in India. Led by Hawa Singh Ji under the spiritual guidance of Nirvan Bodhisattva Ji, the foundation works tirelessly to break cycles of generational oppression.

In the remote hills of Dadikar village, the foundation serves children from the Nat and Kanjar communities—groups that have faced centuries of social exclusion and systemic discrimination. For generations, many girls in these communities have been pushed into exploitative livelihoods such as prostitution and dance bars, often with little access to education or alternative opportunities. Nirvanavan Foundation is changing this reality. They operate a dedicated school in this challenging terrain, creating a safe and nurturing environment where young girls can learn, grow, and dream beyond imposed limitations. Through education, daily nourishment, and emotional support, the foundation helps these children reconnect with the mainstream and build a future rooted in dignity and independence.
